The way Bueno tells it, Staten Island sounds like a bizarro-DC, where the pizza is high-quality, the accents are consistent and the residents are there for life, more or less. But the similarities are undeniable too, including perpetually rising rents and the tons of opportunities to distract oneself from the stuff that matters in life. We agree with singer Luke Chiaruttini's plain statement in album opener “C-C-C-Convenient”, things today really are more convenient than they’ve ever been. And while our lives are gradually filling up with tasks that take 30 minutes to complete, we think you should take some time off to enjoy the post-punk jams of Bueno and their BCDC debut, Guilt, which, conveniently enough, clocks in at about the same amount of time.
